FINE ARTS

Music
Students have music class twice a week in the afternoon and share their musical talents at the annual Christmas program and Spring Fine Arts Night. Mrs. Boyles champions our music lessons and she knows how to make the students come out of their shells and utilize their God given talents!

Band
Instrumental music experience is offered to fourth, fifth, and sixth graders through Nauvoo-Colusa School District #325. Lessons are conducted at Sts. Peter & Paul during school hours. Cadet Band meets at the N-C Elementary School before school 2 days/week. Parents of those participating in band are responsible for transporting the student to the band sessions. Each student is responsible for work missed while at band.

Art
Each classroom teacher teaches their own art. Our teachers work with light and shadow, perspective, and mixed medias to make Art well rounded and most of all- FUN! Students' art work is on display year round on the walls of our school, we think it is the best décor around. Students' art work for the year is displayed during our annual Spring Fine Arts Night.

Theatre

Throughout the year, each classroom puts on individual skits and plays for parents and families to come enjoy. We pride ourselves on our Annual Christmas Program which is both a play and a concert. Our teachers do a wonderful job at engaging the children and encouraging them to take on a challenging character or role. We love to show off our students' natural talents and amplify them through the love of Jesus Christ.

"Artistic talent is a gift from God and whoever discovers it in himself has a certain obligation: to know that he cannot waste this talent, but must develop it."
